Hands-on experience in/with:


  • Preparation, characterization and catalytic tests of advanced catalysts and carriers for several chemical processes ( e.g., Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS), Methane Reforming Technologies (DR, SR, CPO, ATR and TCD), FCC, VOCs abatement, and hydrogenation of edible oils).
  • Preparation, *characterization and testing of powders (by flow rheology studies) for manufacturing, storage and scaling up active catalysts for applications in optimization and intensification of chemical processes via structured surface coating. (*Characterization by particle size distribution by laser diffraction; pore's volume and size and BET area by gas adsorption measurements; shape and size of particle by SEM and optical microscopy).
  • Preparation Methods of heterogeneous catalysts for diverse chemical processes of industrial interest. 
  • Operating several measurement, analysis and characterization equipment used in catalysis, and chemical analysis laboratories (e.g., AAS, ICP, UV, FT-IR, Raman, XRD, XPS, TGA, TPR/TPO/TPD, and H2 chemisorption, SEM, TEM, optic microscopy, etc.).
  • Preventive maintenance and regular calibration of measurement, analysis, characterization, and safety equipment installed in the laboratory.
  • Preparation and characterization of stable catalyst suspensions for the catalytic coating of structured supports.
  • Coating technologies based on solid and liquid-phase deposition methods (APS, PVD-MS, dip-coating)
  • 3D-printing technologies for the design and manufacture of advanced Reactors such as Microchannel Reactors and Catalytic Membrane Reactors (CMRs). 
  • Development and validation of analytical methods (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC-RID, ICP-OES, and AAS).
  • Knowledge in statistical data analysis (PCA), Design of Experiments (DoE),  including  experimental data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook); Apple iWork Suite (Keynote, Pages, Numbers); Design Software (CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2019, Adobe PhotoShop Elements 22), Data analysis and Graphic Software (Origin 8.5, KaleidaGraph 4.5); Data Management Plan (PGDonline and DMPonline); Enterprise Resource Planning Software (MS Dynamics NAV); Project Management Softwares  (MS Project, JIRA, Trello, Workfront, Sharepoint);  and Data Collecting from scientific databases (SciFinder, Web of Knowledge, Scopus, Espacenet, etc.); Video Conferences Platforms (MS TEAMS, Webex, Skype, Zoom)
